GULFSTREAM NAMES JOHN TIGUE COMPLIANCE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GULFSTREAM DESIGNATED CERTIFICATION OFFICE

SAVANNAH , Ga. , April 02, 2007 – Gulfstream Aerospace has named John Tigue compliance administrator of the Gulfstream Designated Certification Office (GDCO). The GDCO oversees all Organizational Designation Authorization (ODA) activities, including efforts to obtain Production, Type and Supplemental Type Certificates from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

In this new position, Tigue will be responsible for GDCO certification processes, procedures, project management records, file controls, audit findings and corrective actions.

Tigue has more than 35 years of aviation experience, including 25 years at the FAA where he held a variety of positions. He has spent most of his career in the area of aircraft certification. While at the FAA he served in several posts including manager of the Atlanta Aircraft Certification Office and assistant manager of the Small Airplane Directorate.

Tigue joined Gulfstream in 2006 as the manager of airworthiness and certification, overseeing the aircraft certification process for all Gulfstream business-jet aircraft.

Tigue earned a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from Auburn University, a master’s degree in transportation engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and a master’s in business administration from Wichita State University.
